For the past 14 years, Maricarmen has been an integral part of the Lexington-Montessori (LMS) community, wearing various hats throughout her tenure. Maricarmen dedicated eight years to teaching in the Toddler program at LMS, where she imparted her expertise and passion for Montessori education. Holding a Montessori teaching credential for infants and toddlers from the Center for Montessori Education NY, Maricarmen is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic advocate for LMS.

As a parent of three LMS alums, Maricarmen brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the school's values and principles. Recently, she has embraced the role of Executive Director Horizons at Lexington-Montessori, which has been a profoundly humbling experience. Concurrently, Maricarmen serves as the Admissions Coordinator at LMS, further enriching her connection to the community. LMS has generously provided the space for the Horizons program to flourish, reflecting a shared commitment to serving and empowering our community.

Maricarmen's vision is to continue nurturing and expanding Horizons alongside our vibrant and supportive community, fostering growth and opportunity for all.
